Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries and route optimization
- Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient scheduling and route planning
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Manage documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Implement safety protocols for cargo securement and road conditions
- Optimize fuel efficiency and minimize operational costs
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proven experience operating box trucks (24+ ft) in commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of Memphis metro area and Southeastern routes
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for preventive maintenance
- Excellent time management and customer communication abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with self-motivation and reliability
- Commercial liability insurance coverage ($1M minimum)
