Responsibilities
- Operate a 26ft box truck to transport freight safely and efficiently across the Pittsburgh region.
- Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and tarps to ensure cargo integrity.
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of the truck.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers during loading and unloading.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class A preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card and active Motor Carrier Number (MC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physically capable of lifting and loading cargo (if applicable).
