Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial freight trucks and vans to deliver goods to clients across the Honolulu area and surrounding islands in a timely and safe manner.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Assist with the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring all packages are handled with care and placed securely.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and cargo manifests in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handle packages with integrity, and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a zero-accident workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a standard driver's license depending on vehicle type.
- Clean Record: A driving record free of major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps and delivery routes.
- Work Ethic: A professional attitude, punctuality, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
