Responsibilities
- Operate 26ft box trucks for local and regional deliveries across the New York metropolitan area.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading to ensure 100% safety and integrity of goods.
- Plan efficient routes to minimize downtime, fuel costs, and wear on the vehicle.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and safety inspections before each shift.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers, receivers, and the public.
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on truck size).
- Proof of current insurance and medical certification (DOT compliant).
- At least 2 years of verifiable box truck driving experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with GPS and route navigation apps.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Reliable personal vehicle for travel to and from the terminal.
