Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver freight to designated locations in Memphis and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of your vehicle.
- Prepare and submit accurate delivery receipts and documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules and delays.
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Must own a clean, fully insured box truck suitable for commercial transport.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or valid Class B non-CDL with good driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local box truck driving or freight hauling.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and background check.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
