Responsibilities
- Safely operate your box truck to deliver freight to designated locations within the Anchorage metro area and surrounding regions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including Bill of Lading (BOL) and delivery receipts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding schedule changes, delays, or any road hazards.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly and is protected from damage during transit.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Must own a Box Truck (GVWR 26,000 lbs or less) in good mechanical condition.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR record (no more than 3 points in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 100 lbs independently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for communication and navigation.
