Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck (26-28ft) for regional freight delivery
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logbooks
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and techniques
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch
- Optimize routes for on-time deliveries
- Manage documentation (BOLs, invoices, permits)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Own or lease 26-28ft box truck (2015+ model preferred)
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and data plan
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of freight handling procedures
