Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient delivery of freight using box trucks throughout Houston metro area
- Coordination with dispatch team for optimal route planning and on-time deliveries
- Maintenance of vehicle compliance (DOT inspections, insurance, registration)
- Documentation of delivery logs and paperwork for billing accuracy
- Customer service communication for delivery confirmations and issue resolution
- Inventory management for specialized cargo requirements
- Adherence to all federal and local transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Reliable box truck (26ft max) meeting DOT specifications
- Current DOT medical certification and proof of commercial insurance
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
