Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for local and regional freight delivery in Fresno metro area
- Load/unload shipments safely and efficiently using provided equipment
- Maintain daily vehicle inspection logs and preventative maintenance schedules
- Adhere to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery time windows
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route status and delays
- Manage inventory documentation and delivery confirmations via mobile app
- Optimize routes to maximize daily mileage and fuel efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial vehicle experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate pallet jacks
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability $1M, cargo $100K)
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer, under 200k miles)
- Smartphone with data plan for dispatch communication
- Strong knowledge of Fresno County roadways and delivery zones
- Ability to pass pre-employment background/drug screening
