Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for efficient local/regional freight delivery
- Optimize routes using provided GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with DOT safety regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and address minor maintenance issues
- Build client relationships through professional on-site interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (26-28 ft) meeting DOT specifications
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts
- Basic smartphone proficiency for mobile app communication
