Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently for local/regional deliveries within Chula Vista and San Diego County
- Manage daily route planning to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Uphold strict safety standards and compliance with DOT regulations
- Build strong client relationships through professional service
- Optimize routes to maximize fuel efficiency and delivery volume
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance and DOT medical certification
- Reliable late-model box truck (24-26 ft) in good working condition
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of GPS navigation and route optimization
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
