Responsibilities
- Operate box truck for time-sensitive freight deliveries within San Antonio metroplex
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and load assignments
- Complete accurate paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations, mileage logs)
- Provide exceptional customer service during on-site deliveries
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage inventory handling for temperature-sensitive shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (3+ years experience)
- Reliable box truck (26' or larger) in DOT-compliant condition
- Knowledge of San Antonio navigation and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexible availability (nights/weekends required for some loads)
- Basic accounting skills for independent contractor operations
- Smartphone with reliable data for dispatch communication
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
