Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional deliveries in Durham, NC
- Manage loading/unloading operations with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery records and proof-of-delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while ensuring cargo security
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year box truck operation experience
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2008+ model preferred)
- Current DOT medical certificate and required documentation
- Strong knowledge of Durham, NC regional routes
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
