Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently to transport freight to local and regional destinations.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage and ensure accuracy.
- Complete all required paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and daily logs.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times, route changes, and potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong business acumen and financial responsibility.
- Reliable communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
