Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between Durham, Raleigh, and surrounding metropolitan areas
- Maintain daily vehicle inspection logs and preventive maintenance schedules
- Optimize routes for timely delivery while ensuring cargo security
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Represent Durham Logistics with professionalism and customer service excellence
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside inspections
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and data connectivity
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
