Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck for local/regional deliveries in Bakersfield metro area
- Maintain accurate logs, manifests, and delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Manage inventory verification and secure loading/unloading procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (MVR review required)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of active commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) with current DOT inspection
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
- Strong knowledge of Bakersfield and Central Valley geography
