Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks to deliver freight to local and regional destinations in Durham, NC and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely, utilizing liftgates when necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must own a 2005 or newer box truck with valid registration and insurance.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of Durham, NC roadways and local traffic laws.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
