Responsibilities
- Operate box truck safely and efficiently on regional routes within Indiana and surrounding states
- Manage all aspects of delivery including loading, unloading, and proper documentation
- Maintain accurate logs and comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Optimize routes to ensure on-time delivery and fuel efficiency
- Handle freight claims and customer service inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer, 24-26 ft preferred) with proper insurance
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong navigation skills and route optimization knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
