Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a box truck (26-28ft) for regional freight delivery in Charlotte metro area
- Plan and optimize daily routes using provided logistics software to ensure on-time deliveries
- Manage all documentation (BOLs, invoices, maintenance logs) with digital tracking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and client interactions
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of box truck or commercial driving experience
- Reliable 26-28ft box truck in excellent mechanical condition
- Proof of commercial auto liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Smartphone proficiency for logistics apps and digital documentation
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
