Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local and regional deliveries in Charlotte, NC
- Manage route optimization and delivery timelines efficiently
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate loading/unloading operations at client sites
- Maximize productivity through strategic route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Reliable box truck (2005 or newer, under 200k miles)
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Smartphone with reliable data connectivity for remote dispatch updates
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting
