Responsibilities
- Operate box truck safely to transport goods within Bakersfield and regional delivery zones
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records via our fleet management system
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimized routing and on-time deliveries
- Handle cargo loading/unloading with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and California state transportation laws
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and reliability
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Bakersfield metro area and surrounding counties
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Commercial insurance with $1M liability coverage
- Reliable smartphone and ability to use fleet tracking apps
