Responsibilities
- Safely operate box truck for local/regional freight delivery
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries using provided dispatch tools
- Manage documentation (BOLs, logs, invoices) accurately
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
- Uphold company safety standards and professional conduct
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck/straight truck experience
- Reliable late-model box truck (2015+ preferred)
- Current DOT physical and required certifications
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Smartphone with reliable data connection
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong customer service orientation
