Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight using your owned box truck
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for optimal routing efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Comply with all DOT regulations and Alaska state transport laws
- Manage loading/unloading operations when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience in Alaska conditions
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Reliable box truck (2015 or newer, under 200k miles)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Anchorage road systems and winter driving
- Basic accounting skills for independent contractor operations
