Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local and regional freight delivery
- Manage route optimization and timely delivery of goods to commercial clients
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and inventory tracking
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability)
- Reliable personal box truck (24-26ft) in good mechanical condition
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area and Midwest highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- DOT medical certification and required documentation
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
