Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local/regional deliveries in Minneapolis metro area
- Maintain DOT compliance (logs, inspections, documentation)
- Manage safe loading/unloading procedures and cargo security
- Optimize route efficiency to maximize on-time delivery performance
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and minor maintenance
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients on delivery status
- Submit accurate mileage and expense reports weekly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck (2008+ model preferred)
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
- Strong knowledge of Minneapolis metro geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
