Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (24-26ft) for regional deliveries within NJ/NY metro area
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and pre/post-trip inspections
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery with real-time GPS tracking
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient load planning
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Document shipments and handle required paperwork
- Uphold company safety standards and vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Own 24-26ft box truck in operational condition
- Proven experience in local/regional freight delivery
- Strong knowledge of Newark/NY metro area
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic accounting skills for independent contractor status
- Reliable communication via smartphone/tablet
- Commercial insurance ($1M liability minimum)
