Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery within Louisiana
- Manage route optimization and on-time delivery compliance
- Maintain accurate trip logs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load assignments
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and DOT safety standards
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability $1M+)
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) with current registration
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana road networks
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
