Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within Bakersfield and surrounding areas
- Manage loading/unloading of freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and required paperwork
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Optimize routes for efficient delivery times
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License (minimum)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor truck maintenance
- Reliable transportation to/from dispatch hub
- No experience required – full training provided
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
