Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local/regional deliveries within NYC metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and NYC traffic ordinances
- Manage documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Proven ability to navigate NYC streets and boroughs
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- Reliable 24-26 ft box truck (2008 or newer preferred)
- Smartphone with GPS and data capabilities
