Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (26ft-53ft) for local/regional deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Manage inventory handling and secure cargo practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Strong knowledge of Newark/NJ metro area
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
- DOT medical certification current
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability
- Commercial liability insurance (minimum $1M)
