Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain box trucks for local/regional freight delivery
- Optimize routes for timely pickups and deliveries to Bakersfield and surrounding areas
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading, delivery confirmations, and maintenance logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions and delivery communications
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load adjustments and priority shipments
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial vehicle experience
- Proof of commercial auto insurance and DOT medical certification
- Reliable late-model box truck (26' or larger) in good mechanical condition
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication and navigation apps
