Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own box truck for regional freight distribution
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Ensure proper cargo securement and compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize empty miles
- Represent SwiftLogistics with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Reliable, DOT-compliant box truck (24-26 ft preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Smartphone with reliable internet connectivity
- Commercial insurance with $1M liability coverage
