Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (26ft-26ft) for local deliveries within NYC boroughs
- Maintain accurate delivery records and proof-of-delivery documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs
- Communicate professionally with clients and dispatch team
- Adhere to all NYC traffic regulations and DOT requirements
- Manage loading/unloading coordination when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience in urban environments
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Reliable personal box truck (26ft) with current registration
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting
- Smartphone with GPS and data connectivity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- NYC commercial parking permit or willingness to obtain
