Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within San Jose metro area
- Manage loading/unloading operations and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to traffic regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team and clients to resolve delivery issues
- Track inventory and ensure proper handling of goods during transit
- Submit weekly reports and maintain compliance with DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean MVR (no DUIs in last 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience with familiarity with 24-26ft vehicles
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate loading equipment safely
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Strong time management skills with ability to self-schedule deliveries
- Reliable smartphone with GPS and data connectivity for remote coordination
- Proof of commercial vehicle insurance ($1M liability minimum)
- Pass background check and drug screening per company policy
