Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries in the DC metropolitan area
- Coordinate loading/unloading of freight with warehouse teams
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery and fuel efficiency
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Reliable smartphone with GPS capability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
