Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A vehicles to transport goods across designated DC metropolitan routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and document vehicle conditions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system records
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan area geography
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
