Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (26ft) for local/regional deliveries in Metro Detroit
- Manage pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while adhering to DOT regulations
- Build client relationships through professional communication and service excellence
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials
- Submit digital documentation (BOLs, delivery confirmations) daily
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or heavy-duty driving experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability)
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and operate lift gates
- Basic smartphone proficiency for digital dispatch tools
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must own or lease box truck meeting DOT specifications
