Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26 ft) for local and regional freight delivery
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Complete pre-trip inspections, trip reports, and electronic logging (ELD)
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and proof of service records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch, clients, and receivers
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform basic cargo securement and load verification procedures
- Represent Baltimore Logistics Solutions with professional conduct
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and physical card
- Reliable box truck meeting DOT specifications (or ability to acquire)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and maintenance
- Proficient with smartphone apps and GPS navigation systems
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
