Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries throughout San Jose and Bay Area
- Manage loading/unloading operations with precision and care for all cargo types
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and compliance documentation
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance as needed
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Maximize operational efficiency through strategic route planning and time management
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred) with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck experience with flatbed/step-deck familiarity
- Relatively owned box truck (26-33ft) with current registration and insurance
- Strong knowledge of Bay Area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and preventive maintenance knowledge
- Smartphone proficiency for communication and digital logging
