Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your box truck for local/regional freight deliveries
- Adhere to DOT regulations and complete all required logs and documentation
- Optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency and on-time performance
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery
- Manage inventory and verify shipment accuracy at each stop
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or issues
- Maintain truck cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Submit timely expense reports and mileage documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or similar commercial driving experience
- DOT medical certification and current driver's license
- Reliable box truck (24-26ft) in good mechanical condition
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone with reliable internet for dispatch communications
- Basic knowledge of navigation apps and route planning
