Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within 150-mile radius
- Manage loading/unloading procedures with proper equipment handling
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for route optimization and schedule adherence
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Manage freight documentation and billing procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean MVR (3+ years driving history)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience with verifiable references
- Reliable box truck (2015+ model) passing annual inspections
- Current DOT medical certification and required permits
- Strong knowledge of Lexington metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Commercial auto insurance with $1M liability coverage
- Basic smartphone proficiency for communication and tracking
