Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within Pittsburgh metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery
- Handle specialized freight (temperature-controlled, hazardous materials with certification)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Own or lease DOT-compliant box truck (26ft max)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication
- Pass background check and drug screening
