Responsibilities
- Safe operation of 24-26ft box trucks for regional distribution routes
- Efficient loading/unloading with manual pallet jack operation
- Route optimization using provided GPS systems
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time schedule adjustments
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Deliver temperature-sensitive cargo requiring refrigeration
- Represent Premier Logistics with professional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- DOT medical certification and current physical card
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and operate pallet jacks
- Smartphone with reliable data connection for app-based dispatch
- Knowledge of Louisiana highway systems and local regulations
- Strong time management and route planning skills
