Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes within the Memphis metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and vehicle maintenance records
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure DOT compliance
- Optimize routes for timely delivery while adhering to schedules
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Proven ability to manage independent contractor responsibilities
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle maintenance
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable personal box truck (26ft-53ft) with current registration and insurance
