Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across designated Alaska/PNW routes using company-provided equipment
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain DOT-compliant logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Maintain accurate electronic logging and documentation systems
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with Alaska road conditions and winter driving protocols
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for preventive maintenance
- Strong time management and route optimization abilities
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for securement procedures
