Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Load/unload packages efficiently while maintaining accurate inventory counts
- Follow optimized delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during package deliveries and returns
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Utilize handheld scanners to track deliveries and update shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all company policies
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic smartphone proficiency for scanning apps
