Responsibilities
- Package Handling: Safely load, unload, and organize packages onto the delivery vehicle according to route maps.
- Customer Delivery: Deliver packages to customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive unboxing experience.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Route Navigation: Follow GPS directions and delivery maps efficiently to optimize routes and time management.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while operating a commercial vehicle.
- Customer Service: Handle package exceptions and resolve delivery issues with a friendly and problem-solving attitude.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Class C Driverβs License required.
- Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous driving experience is a plus, but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Availability: Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Residency: Must reside within or near the Portland, OR area.
