Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to customer locations within a designated route.
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to delivery protocols and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring items are handled with care and remain undamaged.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately to management.
- Utilize handheld devices to track delivery progress and update status in real-time.
- Practice safe driving habits at all times, adhering to traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during the shift.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Basic English proficiency for reading maps and communicating with dispatch.
- Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Access to a reliable vehicle suitable for commercial delivery if not provided by DSP.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
