Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Driving: Operate a delivery van to transport packages to customers in a safe and timely manner, following all traffic laws and delivery protocols.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional, and courteous customer service during every delivery, including handling signatures and proof of delivery.
- Package Handling: Load, unload, and organize packages in the delivery vehicle efficiently to ensure route optimization.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete required paperwork, including logs and delivery records, to maintain compliance with company standards.
- Route Management: Adhere to the assigned daily route and schedule to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Class B CDL: Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is strongly preferred or required.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic ability to use handheld devices for tracking and navigation.
