Responsibilities
- Delivery Operations: Safely load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle.
- Route Execution: Follow assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries throughout Fort Wayne and surrounding areas.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, handle package exceptions, and provide a positive unboxing experience.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan packages and handle returns or damaged items according to protocol.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Reliability: Dependable transportation to and from the facility daily.
- Technical: Basic comfort with technology, such as handheld scanners and mobile devices.
